Thank you for your lovely feedback Karen. We had about 150 people through on Sustainable House Day as did the other houses open in the area. Hopefully we have helped people who came armed with questions, curiosity and clipboards to make sustainable choices in the future

Hi Sean and Mandy,
I was one of the privileged many who toured your home yesterday as part of the Sustainable House Day.
It was a wonderfully inspirational and educational day.
We were blown away by the generosity of all the home owners who allowed so many people into their homes and shared their knowledge and experience so freely.
We were particularly grateful to you for the provision of not only tea and coffee but also soup and lovely sour dough bread. Amazing!!
You also went to a lot of trouble to provide information about all the products you've used which was invaluable.
Thank you so much,
Karen.

Hi Willis

It is a great system. The hands free kit comes from New Zealand. They make it themselves. Check out their web site www.i-strip.com.au

You can swivel it to work at any angle so very handy on window frames etc.

Gotta love that speedheater.

Where did you get this particular hands-free mounting system? I've never seen it before, i-Strip doesn't seem to sell it and I can't find it in the US, either.

Can you rotate the speedheater orientation between vertical and horizontal as you work with this mount?

Hi, just read your comments when checking out Sean web again. LOL. Yes Tassy councils have been backward at times in some areas, but in other areas, ok, even easier than other states! It's all relative!

AND we are being "pushing" into the Australian Standard very fast! Personally we at Lateral Drafting haven't dealt with Strahan, but many Building Designers have! Check out the BDAT (Building Designers of Tasmania) web page. What ever you do... keep on the side of the council authorities, then you will succeed! Good Luck! Cheers Michelle Hall

Hi Nathan
The total cost of the system was approx $13,000 less the $8000 Federal Government grant. The grants have changed so would pay to talk to Solar installers in your area. Alsl costs are coming down a little.

Cheers
